ThumbType is an iOS app for phone typing practice, typing speed tests, accuracy feedback, spelling exercises, daily challenges, and progress tracking. The core app experience is designed to run on your device.
Information You Enter or Create
You may type practice text inside exercises and create practice results such as WPM, accuracy, session counts, best scores, streaks, challenge completion status, language preferences, and general app settings. This information is used to provide typing practice, progress tracking, and app customization features.
Local Storage
Your practice history, progress statistics, streaks, challenge status, selected language, and app preferences are stored locally on your device. If you delete the app, locally stored app data may be removed unless it is included in Apple-managed device backups.
Typed Practice Content
ThumbType is for typing text shown inside the app's practice and test screens. The app is not designed to collect passwords, private messages, payment details, or other sensitive text. Please do not type sensitive personal information into practice fields.
Network and Accounts
The core typing practice workflow does not require a ThumbType account or a remote profile service. We do not operate a public profile system, social feed, leaderboard, or cloud typing-history storage service for ThumbType.
Keyboard and Device Features
ThumbType uses the iOS keyboard or text input interface when you type during an exercise. Practice results may be affected by iOS keyboard settings such as autocorrect, predictive text, language keyboard, and accessibility settings. ThumbType does not need access to your messages, contacts, photos, microphone, or camera for the core workflow described in this policy.
Exporting and Sharing
If the app offers an export, screenshot, share, backup, or system share-sheet action and you choose to use it, the selected content is passed to the iOS destination that you explicitly select. That destination may process the information according to its own privacy policy.
What We Do Not Sell
We do not sell your personal information. ThumbType is not designed around advertising profiles, third-party data brokerage, social feeds, or public user-generated content.

Disclaimer
ThumbType is a practice and measurement tool for personal use. WPM, accuracy, spelling feedback, streaks, and progress summaries are estimates and may not reflect standardized testing conditions, professional keyboarding assessment, school requirements, job requirements, or accessibility needs. We do not guarantee any specific improvement in typing speed, accuracy, spelling, productivity, academic performance, or work performance. You are responsible for how you use the app and for confirming whether its results are suitable for your own purpose.
Data Retention and Deletion
You can adjust or delete practice results, progress records, and app settings from within the app where controls are available. You may also remove the app from your device to delete locally stored data, subject to any Apple-managed backups you have enabled.
Children's Privacy
ThumbType is intended for general iPhone users and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, contact us so we can help review the concern.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the app changes or when privacy, platform, or legal requirements change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised last updated date.
