Cut list templates
Plywood Cut List Templates
Start from a real project instead of a blank sheet. Each template lists the parts, sizes, and quantities for a common plywood build, with kerf, grain direction, and tips for fitting the parts on a sheet. Pick the closest project, adjust the numbers to your space, then plan the layout in the CutList optimizer.

How to use a cut list template
A template is a starting point, not a fixed answer. Open the project closest to your build, change the dimensions to match your space and the material you have, then confirm the parts physically fit on a sheet. The fastest way to check that is to enter the parts in the plywood cut calculator with your real kerf value, or the cut list calculator for board-cut parts. When the plan looks right, save it in the CutList app so you can reopen and adjust it later.
If you are new to reading these plans, start with how to read a cut list and saw kerf explained, then come back and pick a template.
Cut less, waste less
Most plywood waste is decided before the first cut, when parts are grouped poorly or a sheet count is guessed. Starting from a template that already groups repeated parts and chooses sheet-friendly dimensions removes a lot of that waste. For the method behind it, read how to reduce plywood waste, sheet layout optimization, and how many sheets of plywood do I need.
