Installer Punch-List Closeout Workflow
A useful punch list is a controlled exception record, not a collection of vague reminders. Each item should identify the room, cabinet or part, observed condition, acceptance boundary, owner, and evidence needed to close it. The closeout workflow keeps missing parts, adjustments, finish repairs, field changes, and documentation issues separate so completion can be verified without losing the history required for service or future repeat work.

Write what can be seen or measured: a door contacts its neighbor, one filler is unfinished, a shelf is missing, a reveal varies, or an access panel label is absent. Classify the correction path

Reconcile documents and loose items

Obtain final acceptance without erasing history
Summarize open, completed, waived, and transferred items by room. Record who accepted the result and where retained evidence is stored.
