Cut List Change Impact Review
A cut-list change impact review asks more than which row changed. It traces the design input through mating parts, joinery, openings, hardware, material groups, layouts, purchase totals, labels, and work already completed. The goal is to prevent a local edit from leaving the rest of the project on an older geometry. The reviewer should also identify unaffected outputs explicitly; silence is not proof that an old shop file remains valid.

State the source change
Record the requested change, reason, originator, date, and approved design input. Distinguish a field correction, material substitution, hardware change, quantity change, and preference change because they propagate differently. Link the request to the current revision before editing any individual part.
Trace dependent geometry
List parts and features that directly use the changed dimension, then follow mating joints and clear openings one step farther. A wider cabinet can change decks, shelves, backs, doors, drawer fronts, toe kicks, fillers, countertop allocation, hardware spacing, and sheet layout. Use the cabinet dimension chain where the change begins at an opening or cabinet envelope.
Check production and purchasing state
Identify material already ordered, sheets already allocated, parts cut, machining completed, assemblies built, and items shipped. Compare salvage, rework, remake, and schedule consequences without changing physical work from an unapproved draft. Regenerate derived outputs
Update the source model and regenerate cut lists, layouts, sheet counts, purchase quantities, labels, drawings, exports, and installation notes. Do not patch only the PDF or a shop-floor copy. Compare old and new outputs and highlight added, removed, and changed parts so reviewers can see the impact.
Release one coordinated revision
Approve the impact, assign a new revision, withdraw obsolete outputs, and communicate the effective boundary to every affected station. Keep the reason and disposition of old parts. Require an acknowledgement from stations holding printed or exported copies so obsolete instructions are not left beside current work. Use version control for naming and history; use this impact review to prove what the revision must contain.
